Taking photos in dark or low light conditions can be challenging. Tonight’s
members workshop focused on still life and model photography in a dark room only using small Lights to illuminate the subject.
There was a lot of experimenting with camera settings and the swapping of ideas with impressive results.
The room was split in half, having the stations in darkness and the other an area to relax and chat. The stations were two booths for models with dark backdrops and a selection of lights from small LED torches, bottle lights and a laser light for that dramatic effect. In between were stations with still
life objects ranging from Gin bottles with bottle lights, a chess board to use with a torch and other objects around the room including skulls, shells, and pewter.
