At very short notice, DVCC was invited to attend an experiment at Monk Bretton Priory ruins on Wednesday 26th January. It was an attempt to light up the buildings with coloured LED flood lights and photograph the effects achieved.
Two members of DVCC obliged, and the ruins were captured in all their technicolour glory.
The images provided by DVCC will be used to support Monk Bretton's site managers in approaching English Heritage regarding night time events in the future. There's a long way to go - but it was a spectacular start. Evening dog walkers and passers by were astonished and thrilled to see the place lit up, one told me that the ruins 'looked magical'.
