Shutter Speed basics

a) rule of thumb for hand held /

b) long exposure / slow shutter speed

c) short exposure / quick shutter speed

Quick practical for attendees

a)  Slow shutter speed and camera shake and non intentionally blurred image

b) Freezing motion with fast shutter speed (its all relative) - compensating with aperture and shutter speed to balance exposure)

c)  Deliberate blur of image by using slow shutter speed - compensating aperture, ISO and potential use of filters to balance exposure
