I'm not sure a camera club is for me, can I have a trial membership?
We offer those who seek to join the club the opportunity to come along to their first two meetings free of charge and without any obligation to join.
I’ve got a fair bit of experiences in photography, is this club for me?
It certainly is, what we seek to do is learn from each other (as well as occasional guest speakers) and try to offer all members new and interesting challenges. We offer opportunities for more experienced members to share their skills with others.
Where do you meet?
We meet at the Billingley Village Hall at Back Lane, Billingley, Barnsley.

How old do you have to be to join the club?
The club is open to all but, if you are under 18 then we would ask you come along with a parent or guardian. This will be explained to you if you ask to join the club.
I’m only just starting out, is this club for me?
It certainly is, we have many “new starters”, but we take a view that we are all new starters in someway shape or form. We try to set aside time for new starters to cover specific topics so you can develop your photography skills.
When do you meet?
Every Thursday of the year (we take a break over Christmas and New Year Period) at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm start finishing around 9:00 pm. Meetings are supplemented by photography field trips / visits to various places.
How would you describe the club?
The club seeks to maintain an ethos of having fun, learning from each other, supporting each other and making sure that the club is welcoming to all.
What does it cost?
We set a membership fee which covers the whole year, there are no additional fees per meeting but there may be occasions where a small fee might be set, for example if the club organises travel to somewhere. Members get to vote on any proposed increases of fees.
